Detailed Description Dive School
Dive Academy Gran Canaria is the only scuba diving centre on the island with its own, private training swimming pool! This swimming pool is the perfect place for all divers to learn scuba diving or practice their skills. Qualified divers or beginners, in the swimming pool you get all the time you need to learn the confidence building skills. For very young divers (kids from 8 to 10) the Bubblemaker course is a perfect introduction to diving in the pool. So, from Bubblemaker to Instructor course, the swimming pool is the safest place to begin or continue your scuba diving adventures.
Dive Academy Gran Canaria also has its own boat; 7,5 meter long RIB with a Mercury Optimax 250XL outboard engine. With this boat, divers can reach all the dive sites around the south of the island, which cannot be reached from the shore. On the boat, there is enough room for 12 divers with full equipment. It carries full emergency equipment, first aid and oxygen systems, including VHF radio and emergency procedures.
