Careca Surfcamp was established in 2004 as the first Figueira da Foz surf camp based on the true concept of SURF + CAMP. Careca Surfcamp is located in a semi-rural area, 5 km from the beach. In order to offer our guests the best possible surfing experience, staff search for the best spots, with ideal learning conditions, every single day.
Detailed Description Surf Camp
Staying at Careca Surfcamp is staying at an all-inclusive camp: complete with camping, meals, transportation and surfing equipment! Careca's goal is to offer guests an unique and unforgettable stay without having to worry with all the logistics involving the surfing practice. The surf camp is open from April to October.
The camp has at guests disposal tents with mattresses and pillows. The surf camp is equipped with warm water baths, meals and chill-out area equipped with sofas, refrigerator, sound-system and internet. For those less fond of camping there is the option of staying in the surf-house which has a limited number of rooms with bunks and double beds (some available with private bathroom).
Surf lessons are conducted by experienced instructors. Lessons are 2 hours long. All required equipment is supplied by the surf-camp. Lessons will take place in different locations according to the most favorable swell and wind conditions. Lessons will broach both practical and theoretical knowledge (technical terminology, equipment and sea understanding).
